If you really want to try it, it is available on Softpedia. Windows 7 was the last Windows version for which Ricoh released a RPSC driver for the MP C4000. Speed selection from within the driver most likely the RPCS driver which Ricoh discontinued support for that driver at least years ago. The MP C4000 was introduced just over 14 years ago. Tried to set paper weight to coated, medium thick etc on tray 2 but it is automatically detected as not matching. However after reinstalling the operating system I was unable to find that option with any of the drivers (rpcs, pcl6, pcl5c) downloaded from the website or uainf my original CD. Some time ago (8-9 years), when a tech installed the drivers for me, while printing there was an option on my computer named "print speed" containing three options fast, medium, slow (different other than gradation). However I need to print it using Tray 2 (because I have to make lots of such copies and on bypas the 90mg paper goes frequently misfeed).
If I print it using bypas and OHP (Transparent Paper set) the print goes perfect. The problem is that one edge of the paper is not printed well (lots of white dots appears or white areas). I have to print some very colorful A3 pages (plain paper / 90mg).
